Hudson Center for Community and Environment is a 501(c)(3) charitable, non-profit organization fostering equitable, healthy communities and natural spaces in the Hudson Valley and associated communities. We are engaged in a range of projects, including: taking action to help New York meet the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act goals; ensuring equity, access, and inclusion in natural spaces; pursuing food justice initiatives that bring more fresh, healthy food to communities of need; and working to increase environmentally-friendly land-use and tenant-based practices in the region.
MISSION: Hudson Center for Community and Environment promotes environmental justice and environmental stewardship by investing in the well-being of Hudson Valley and associated communities through education, action, and advocacy.
VISION: Equitable, healthy Hudson communities and natural spaces
OBJECTIVES:
1) To educate the public about the necessity of preserving, protecting, and restoring the Hudson Valley and its associated communities
2) To directly address environmental justice issues in the Hudson Valley and its associated communities
3) To provide and support innovative environmental programs relevant to the Hudson Valley and its associated communities
4) To advocate for environmental action including protection, restoration, and preservation relevant to the Hudson Valley and its associated communities
